BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragic accident occurred on Saturday, November 9, 2024, when a man was found dead after being crushed by a tree he had been cutting down.
Troopers M.S. Hall and R.K. Bowers of the Madison Detachment were dispatched to a wooded area near 1442 Easter Hollow Road in the Julian area of Boone County following reports of an incident. Upon their arrival, they discovered that 48-year-old Jonathan B. Dolin of Allkol, WV, had been timbering in the area when he was fatally injured by a tree he had just felled.
Dolin’s body was transported to Handley Funeral Home. Officials have stated that no foul play is suspected in the incident.
