VALLEY BEND, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was discovered hiding inside a pipe by authorities on Sunday after having “severely beaten” his wife and daughter.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, May 28, 2023, Randolph County E-911 dispatched a domestic disturbance on Bradley Mtn Road in the Valley Bend area.
Randolph County Deputies along with members of the WV State Police then responded to the area. It was discovered upon arrival that a male individual had severely beaten his wife and daughter, and had also discharged a firearm during the altercation.
Deputies Knots and Elbon then began a track of the last known area the suspect had been seen with K9 Twix.
Deputies and Troopers were then led by K9 Twix to a creek bed with a culvert pipe and attempted to enter it. Entering the creek bed, Sgt. DeWeese located the suspect hiding inside a pipe.
The suspect was ordered out of the pipe and was then apprehended without incident. The WV State Police is reportedly handling the investigation into the Domestic situation.
The scene saw response from the West Virginia State Police, Randolph County Sheriffs Office, and Randolph County E.M.S.
