RACINE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A dispute involving weapons and a hit-and-run incident led to the arrest of a Boone County man late Thursday night. Authorities responded to the altercation at a residence on Gable Lane after receiving a 911 call about an escalating conflict involving multiple individuals.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the incident began on November 28, 2024, around 11:00 p.m., when Boone County 911 reported an altercation at 161 Gable Lane. Troopers were informed that a man displayed a firearm while another brandished a knife during the dispute.
Approximately 15 minutes later, dispatchers updated the officers that three men and one woman had left the scene in a white, two-door Mazda.
Senior Trooper B.M. Shafer located the vehicle shortly after and discovered a male victim suffering from severe injuries, including a deep cut to his hand and a stab wound to his back. The victim identified the assailant as 51-year-old Jody Alan Perdue. He also reported that Perdue struck him with a vehicle twice during the confrontation.
The injured man was transported to Boone Memorial Hospital for treatment.
At 11:50 p.m., officers arrived at the Gable Lane residence and placed Perdue into custody without incident. The accused was transported to the West Virginia State Police Madison Detachment for processing.
Perdue is expected to face multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and other related offenses. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details have not been released.
