OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A man stole a car and claimed he would return it after getting married.
At around 8:14 pm on July 2, 2024, deputies from Wyoming County responded to a stolen vehicle complaint at the Dollar General in Oceana.
The complainant reported that Tommy Wilson had taken her father’s vehicle from her home while she was having dinner in Oceana.
She stated that Tommy had entered her home without permission and had taken the keys. The vehicle owner confirmed that Tommy was not permitted to use the vehicle.
When deputies interviewed Tommy, he admitted to entering the home without permission, taking the keys, and driving off with the vehicle. He claimed he planned to return the car after getting married in Coal Mountain.
As a result, Tommy Wilson was charged with burglary and unlawful taking of a vehicle out of Wyoming County.
