HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) โ A Hinton man faces charges after striking a woman multiple times and threatening to throw a one-year-old baby down the stairs because they couldnโt get a ride to the store.
Hinton Police say they responded to Temple St. on March 30, 2024, regarding a domestic situation. When they arrived, the victim stated that Danny Patton Jr. and she argued about being unable to get a ride to the store. Patton then struck the female multiple times in the face.
Later, the victim said Patton tried to get her to come upstairs, but she wouldnโt. After a short time, Patton threatened to throw their one-year-old child down the stairs and proceeded to grab the child by the arm, acting as if he was going to throw the child down the stairs. The victim feared for the childโs safety, so she proceeded upstairs when Patton then refused to allow her back down the stairs.
Patton is charged with domestic battery and child endangerment. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,500 dollar bond.
