FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man is facing more charges after refusing to comply with the police.
According to deputies, on June 22, 2022, they responded to Cannelton in regards to a 911 hang-up call. An officer with the Montogomery Police Department was on duty and went to the area. A neighbor called 911 to tell them that their neighbor’s address had been broken into and the person had blood on them. The officer then observed Tyler Schoolcraft walking up the road with only a bra and panties on. Schoolcraft starts fighting with the officer and wouldn’t obey the officer’s commands. Schoolcraft was resisting arrest.
The officer had to seek medical attention after being struck and kicked many times.
Schoolcraft was charged with battery on police officers and obstructing an officer.
He is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 3,000 dollar bond.
The suspect, Tyler Schoolcraft, has been charged with many charges over the last two years that include two counts of domestic assault, capias, trespassing, domestic battery, malicious wounding, violations of a protective order, battery on an officer, obstructing, battery on health care worker, assault on health care worker, assault on an officer, attempt to disarm, attempted escape, fingerprint refusal, and prostitution.
