MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Carl Thomas Mullins, also known as “TJ Mullins,” 24, of Isaban, was sentenced to two years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for the theft of firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer.
Court documents reveal that on September 10, 2021, Mullins broke into a business in Wyoming County and stole several firearms, including a Colt M4 carbine rifle and two shotguns: a Black Aces Pro Series M 12-gauge and a Silver Eagle RZ17TAC 12-gauge.
Mullins later attempted to sell or trade the stolen firearms for drugs. While the rifle was eventually recovered, the two shotguns remain missing.
United States Attorney Will Thompson announced the sentence, praising the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) for their investigation.
The sentence was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Alexander A. Redmon and Ryan Blackwell.
