BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Multiple crashes have been reported across the region due to slick conditions.
According to West Virginia 511, multiple crashes have occurred on the West Virginia Turnpike and U.S. 19 in Fayette and Raleigh counties.
A vehicle crash has shut down a portion of U.S. Route 19 South at Glen Jean.
The crash occurred near Sun Mine Road on Route 19. Emergency crews are on the scene.
Two more vehicle crashes have been reported on U.S. 19 in the Oak Hill area.
A major crash involving vehicles including multiple tractor trailers has shut down I-77 North at the North Beckley interchange.
Pikeview Drive in Beckley is also shut down due to a vehicle crash.
Road conditions continue to deteriorate and motorists are urged to use extreme caution if they must travel.
