Reports of wrecks and disabled vehicles continue on I-64 in Summers and Raleigh Counties.
According to Summers County 911, I-64 East at mile marker 143 to mile marker 148 is closed due to numerous stuck tractor-trailers.
Emergency crews and tow trucks are on the scene attempting to remove the vehicles.
Motorists are urged to avoid this area.
According to West Virginia 511, I-64 both east and west in Raleigh and Summers counties is currently in a “hazardous situation” with regard to travel.
West Virginia Department of Highways crews are working the area.
