SUTTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia State Police are investigating a murder-suicide.
On Friday, March 24th, 2023, Sgt D.L. Gordon and units from the Braxton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of a shooting that occurred at Edgewood Acres in Sutton WV.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Lorelei King age 41 along with Leo Raymond King age 63, both shot and in critical condition on the porch of the residence.
Sgt. Gordon and Braxton County Deputies began administering First Aid to both subjects.
Lorelei King and Leo Raymond King were transported by EMS and later succumbed to their injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates the incident stemmed from a domestic violence situation and appears to be a murder-suicide.
Sgt Gordon was assisted by Cpl G.H. Jones and Trooper B.J. Wiley.
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
