CALHOUN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A shooting incident in Grantsville on Saturday, December 28, 2024, left two people dead and two others injured.
The West Virginia State Police (WVSP) are leading the investigation after being alerted by the Calhoun County Emergency Operations Center.
Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene off Pine Creek Road shortly after 8:28 a.m.
Calhoun County Sheriff Graham Knight was the first to arrive, discovering 51-year-old Jodee Tribioli of Grantsville and 71-year-old Carole Heagy of Mount Gretna, Pennsylvania, deceased from gunshot wounds.
Two other victims, 55-year-old Steve Tribioli of Grantsville and 66-year-old Claude Heagy of Mount Gretna were found alive but with serious injuries.
The WVSP identified the suspect as 28-year-old Noah Richard Tribioli of Columbia, Pennsylvania, who is the son of Steve Tribioli.
A statewide alert was issued, and Noah Tribioli was apprehended near Hico, Fayette County, by Senior Trooper L. L. Cox.
Tribioli was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of malicious wounding, and two counts of attempting to commit a felony.
He was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail without bond.
The injured victims were transported to Minnie Hamilton Health System and later transferred to Charleston Area Medical Center. Steve Tribioli is in critical condition, while Claude Heagy is listed as stable.
The investigation remains active as WVSP crime scene units process evidence from the scene and the suspect’s vehicle.
