WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A North Carolina woman was tragically killed in Wyoming County over the weekend.
On June 30, 2024, around 11:30 am, Cpl. M. C. Shifflette of the Jesse Detachment responded to an ATV crash in the Herndon area of Wyoming County, Wyoming.
During the investigation, Cpl. Shifflette determined the victim, 41-year-old Victoria Ledford of Mount Holly, North Carolina, was not wearing a seatbelt or helmet at the time of the crash.
Ledford was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol and/or drug use were not found to be contributing factors in the incident.
The investigation into this fatal ATV crash remains ongoing.
