PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Former McDowell County Prosecuting Attorney, Emily Miller, is sworn in as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Mercer County.
Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney, Brian Cochran, is pleased to announce that Emily Miller has joined our office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney.  Miller swore to uphold the Constitution and the laws of West Virginia on Friday before the Honorable Mark Wills, Chief Circuit Judge of the Ninth Judicial District.
Miller obtained her law degree from WVU College of Law and also obtained her undergraduate degree from WVU. Â According to Cochran, Miller brings a wealth of knowledge and trial experience to her new role in Mercer County. Â She served as McDowell County Prosecutor, City Attorney for Welch, and also served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in McDowell County.
Cochran said that throughout Miller’s legal career, she had cultivated close working relationships with the West Virginia State Police and local law enforcement, and those skills will be an asset to the people of Mercer County.
Miller states she is excited about her new position and will work hard to obtain justice for the people of Mercer County.
