ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Concord University has announced that it will be hosting the opening day of the 7th Annual “Small Communities, Big Solutions” Conference, presented by the Alliance for Economic Development of Southern West Virginia, Coalfield Development, The HUB, and Generation WV.
The conference will take place from November 20 to November 22 and will emphasize creativity in the Mountain State and the connection of significant issues with the theme, “Creativity, Connection, and Collaboration.
Unique sessions will be offered each day as part of the conference, along with unique speakers and collaborative opportunities. These will include entrepreneurship panels, problem solving, and workforce development.
The conference will be held at Concord University, Downtown Princeton at Mercer Street, and the Chuck Mathena Center over the course of its three-day run.
Day three of the conference will see the Power of Performance Awards winners announced. These awards are presented in recognition of individuals doing remarkable work in the Southern West Virginia region. Nomination categories for the Power of Performance Awards include 1.) Putting People to Work, 2.) Revitalizing Communities, and 3.) Changing Lives.
