RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Over 1,300 Appalachian Power customers in Raleigh and Wyoming counties are without power as of Sunday night.
According to Appalachian Power, 872 customers are without power in Raleigh County.
The bulk of the outages have been reported in the Winding Gulf and Coal City areas with 832 total outages.
Estimated restoration is expected tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2025, by 12:30 PM.
There are also 7 outages being reported in the area of Flat Top Lake due to equipment-related issues. Estimated restoration is expected by 1:30 AM tonight.
Over 30 customers are also without power along Peachtree Road.
Black Diamond customers in the Sophia area have also reported power outages but an official number has not been released by the utility company.
In Wyoming County, 523 Appalachian Power customers are without power.
The majority of the outages are being reported in the Hanover area along U.S. Route 52.
Estimated restoration is planned for tomorrow, Monday, January 6, 2025, by 7 AM.
