MALDEN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities have issued a felony arrest warrant for Michael Allen Stone, 38, in connection with an armed robbery that took place early Wednesday morning at the Speedway gas station on Campbell’s Creek Drive.
The robbery occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. Surveillance footage shows Stone exiting a silver minivan and entering the store wearing a hooded sweatshirt, face covering, and glasses.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, Stone brandished a handgun and demanded the clerk open the cash register. The clerk retreated to a secure area and called 911.
Stone was captured on surveillance removing change from the store’s automated dispenser, allegedly taking about $200. The exact amount is still under audit.
Later that day, deputies located the minivan seen in the footage in the Simmons Creek area of Belle.
Authorities confirmed it was used in the robbery and identified Stone as the suspect.
Law enforcement warns that Stone remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.
