BUCKHANNON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — An era of unique cuisine, warm friendships, and heartfelt memories draws to a close as Don Paco Mexican Restaurant in Buckhannon has announced its permanent closure, effective Tuesday, August 1st.
For more than 11 years, this establishment has been a cornerstone of the community, offering a welcoming atmosphere that transformed patrons into cherished friends and family.
Owners Francisco (Paco) and Edna Figueroa express their profound gratitude to the loyal patrons and dedicated staff who have made this journey possible. “How blessed are we to have been in business for 11 plus years! Thank you so much to all of our dear customers and workers. We couldn’t have done it without your support,” the Figueroas conveyed.
Throughout its years of operation, Don Paco’s has not only served countless customers but also witnessed numerous life milestones of its patrons.
“We have been able to watch many of you have a family and watch your children grow. We have shed tears with you from the loss of a loved one because we loved them too. We have seen many of you accomplish great achievements and shared the joy with you.”
For the Figueroa family, the decision to close Don Paco’s was not an easy one. The restaurant holds a special place in their hearts, and they’ve poured their dedication into every dish served.
“This definitely has not been an easy decision. One that we have been struggling with because we are truly passionate about what we do,” they shared.
However, this closure marks a new chapter for the Figueroa family. Paco and Edna Figueroa, affectionately known as Mr. Fig and Edna, look forward to embracing retirement and prioritizing their health. “However, now is the time for my parents, Paco (Mr. Fig) and Edna Figueroa to actually enjoy their retirement and focus on their health,” the family expressed.
The Figueroas also highlighted the deep bonds formed with their workers. “What is also difficult is not seeing our dear employees from day to day that made helped us to what we are. We have grown with so many of you. You were not only our workers but our friends that also became family.”
As the doors of Don Paco Mexican Restaurant close, the Figueroa family leaves their patrons with a heartfelt promise, “This is not a Good Bye but a See You Soon. With Much Love and Appreciation, Francisco & Edna Figueroa, Francheska Figueroa.”
