Summersville – Colby Pishner continued his torrid scoring tear with 33 points Wednesday to lead Nicholas County past Independence 71-54.
Jaxson Morriston scored 11 for the Grizzlies, while Travis Smith and Ethan Collins had eight points apiece.
Jordan James led the Patriots with 20 points and Michael McKinney score 12.
The win runs Nicholas County’s (6-9) win streak to five games. The Grizzlies hosts PikeView Friday.
Independence (5-7) travels to Oak Hill Friday.

Clear Fork – Shad Sauvage drilled a 3-pointer in the final seconds to give Class A No. 1 James Monroe a 54-51 win over upset-minded Westside Wednesday.
Sauvage finished the game with 15 points, while Eli Allen scored 17 and Josh Burks added nine.
Shandell Adkins led the Renegades with 14 points. Dale Bledsoe and Ashton Reed scored 11 points each for Westside.
Westside travels to Tug Valley Friday and James Monroe hosts Richwood Friday.
