Lindside – Shad Sauvage scored 22 points, breaking the James Monroe career scoring record along the way as the Mavericks beats Summers County 74-47 Tuesday in Lindside.
With the effort Sauvage brought his career tally to 1,294 career points, breaking McKinley Mann’s previous record of 1,285 points, established in 2019.
Eli Allen was the Mavericks’ overall leading scorer with 24 points. Cruz Testerman led the Bobcats with 12 points in the loss. James Monroe improves to 5-1 and will travel to Wyoming East on Jan. 5. Summers County will travel to Greenbrier West on Dec. 4.

South Charleston – Greenbrier East rallied from a 13-point first-quarter deficit to beat regional foe South Charleston 63-60 Tuesday afternoon on the road.
Nine different Spartans scored in the win, led by Adam Seams’ 12 points. Kaiden Huffman also scored in double figures with 11 points.
East improves to 3-4 and will host PikeView on Jan. 5.
