Morgantown – Rushing for over 280 yards, No. 7 rated Morgantown never trailed in a 35-10 first round playoff win against No. 10 Beckley at Pony Lewis Field.
Highlighted by a balanced rushing attack, the Mohigans received three touchdown runs from Isaiah Thompson in the win.
Beckley struggled all night to find its offense, rushing and passing for less than 100 yards each. The big play for the Flying Eagles was an 80-yard touchdown pass from Gage Price to A.J. Thomas in the second quarter.
Morgantown advances to plays No. 2 Spring Mills in the quarterfinal round.
