Shady Spring led 20-7 after three quarter nd hung on to beat Ripley 28-14 Friday at H. B. Thomas Field in Shady Spring.
Caleb Whittaker powered the Shady offense with 21 carries for 158 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Cameron Manns was efficient as well, going 6-for-10 through the air for 118 yards, throwing touchdowns to Tyler Mackey and Gavin Davis.
On defense Davis, along with Jacob Showalter, both came away with interceptions in the win. James Sellards paced the Shady with 15 tackles while Bryson Pinardo finished with 11.
The Tigers keep their playoff hopes alive with the win, improving to 5-3. Up next Shady will travel to No. 11 Liberty on Friday.
