Charleston – Wyoming East fell behind 42-0 Friday night, never recovering in a 72-26 loss to Wahama at Laidley Field in Charleston.
Sawyer Vanmatre led the charge for Wahama, completing all four of his passes for 122 yards and four touchdowns while also picking up 85 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.
Jackson Danielson was 14-of-25 passing for East, throwing a touchdown and rushing for another. Steven Clemins hauled in fives passes for 99 yards in the loss while Kaiden Weaver returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown.
East drops to 0-2 and will host Nicholas County on Friday.
