MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Dayshan Darrow Herbert, age 35 of Low Gap Road, Princeton, West Virginia, pled guilty on Monday, April 7, 2025 in the Circuit Court of Mercer County to Delivery of Methamphetamine. According to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Brian K. Cochran, Herbert faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced on June 9, 2025 by Mercer County Circuit Judge Ryan J. Flanigan.
Cochran said that Herbert’s conviction is the direct result of the consistent hard work of the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force. The Task Force consists of officers from the State Police, Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, McDowell County Sheriff’s Department, and Bluefield, West Virginia Police Department. Herbert was indicted by a Mercer County Grand Jury in June, 2024.
Cochran commended the investigation completed by the Task Force and thanked all law enforcement and the staff at the Prosecuting Attorney’s office for their work in combatting the illegal sale of drugs.
