RAINELLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Rainelle man faces charges in relation to a June incident in which attempts at solicitation were made to what was believed to be a minor.
According to reports from Chief Stevens of the Rainelle Police Department, Adam Wynes solicited what he believed to be a 15 year old girl on June 18, 2022.
Wynes is reported to have requested sexual activity, asked to meet in Rainelle, and sent obscene material to the individual he believed to be the minor.
This correspondence took place on Facebook Messenger, as well as the texting app TextMe.
Upon being informed by the individual that they were indeed underage, Wynes responded that this was not an issue, so long as law enforcement was not informed.
Upon issuance of a search warrant for Wynes’ phone, he was transported to the Rainelle Police Department where a confession was taken.Â
