RHODELL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man is charged with malicious wounding.
According to Raleigh County deputies, on May 26, 2021, Jason Jenkins allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face with his fist causing significant swelling and bruising, which caused lacerations underneath her right eye. The alleged incident started when Jenkins got into an argument with the woman, and the woman told him to leave her alone, which he did not.
According to Jenkins, an eyewitness restrained him, and he said he only struck the victim two to four times after she stabbed him in the neck. The witness says that the victim did not stab Jenkins.
Jenkins is charged with malicious wounding. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
