MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Sources indicate that West Virginia University is targeting Rich Rodriguez as its next head football coach. While a deal is reportedly in the works, it has not yet been finalized.
Rodriguez, 61, previously served as the Mountaineers’ head coach from 2001 to 2007, leading the team to an impressive 60-26 record during his tenure.
Under his leadership, West Virginia achieved three consecutive 10-win seasons and became a consistent national contender.
Rodriguez’s potential return comes as the Mountaineers look to recapture their former glory on the field.
More details are expected as negotiations progress.
