BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – New River Community and Technical College has announced the matchup schedule for the 7th Annual New River Community and Technical College Invitational Tournament.
Scheduled to be held from January 6, 2025, to January 7, 2025, the high anticipated event will see players with skilled co-ed basketball teams from local high schools for a week during which sportsmanship, ability, and community pride will be on display. It has also been announced that this year, for the very first time, universities will be competing in the New River Community and Technical College Invitational Tournament.
The annual tournament is notable in that it serves as New River Community and Technical College’s largest annual fundraiser. The tournament also provides students and families to become educated on workforce and educational development opportunities available through New River Community and Technical College, while allowing competing athletes to exhibit their skills.
“We’re thrilled to host the Invitational once again, bringing together the community to celebrate local talent,” says New River Community and Technical College Chief of Staff and Vice President of External Affairs, Michael Green. “It’s an opportunity for us to connect with students and their families while showcasing the many ways New River CTC supports our region’s educational and career goals.”
