Charleston Catholic 11, Midland Trail 4
Charleston – Resuming a game that was started Thursday, Midland Trail allowed five runs in the sixth inning, losing 11-4 to Charleston Catholic on Friday.
The highlight for the Patriots was a home run from Cy Persinger.
Richwood and Greenbrier West will play Saturday in Charmco, with Midland Trail facing the winner on Monday at 5:30 in Hico.
Oak Hill 9, Greenbrier East 6
Fairlea – Oak Hill scored four runs in the sixth innings, rallying to beat Greenbrier East 9-6 in extra innings Friday night in Fairlea.
Tied after six, Oak Hill scored three in the top of the eighth to pull ahead and force a decisive Region 3, Section 2 championship game that will take place Saturday at 1 p.m. in Fairlea.
Jordan Mize led the way for East with a home run and four RBIs in the loss.
McLain was steady on the mound for Oak Hill, pitching all eight innings, allowing four earned runs.
