Coal City – Kaylen Parks and Alli Hypes both went 3-for-3 at the plate as Independence pounded Westside 15-0 in three innings Monday in Coal City.
Hypes drove in two runs while Parks drove in three to go with a double and a triple. Kendall Martin had one hit for the Lady Patriots, a triple, but led all players with four RBIs.
In the circle Delaney Buckland was stellar for Indy, striking out nine in just three innings of work, limiting Westside to one hit.
Independence moves to 16-11 and will host PikeView on Wednesday before closing the regular season with St. Albans at home on Thursday.
