Shady Spring – Five Lady Tigers recorded multiple hits as Shady Spring defeated James Monroe 12-0 in five innings Tuesday in Shady.
Hadley Wood led the charge with a home run while Brooke Presley recorded three hits to go along with an RBI. Paige Maynard, Olivia Barnett and Alyssa Lilly each had two hits for Shady.
The Lady Tigers improve to 21-2 and will host Westside on Thursday.

Midland Trail 8, Wyoming East 6
Hico – Midland Trail rallied from a 6-1 deficit in the fifth inning Tuesday to beat Wyoming East 8-6 in Hico.
East’s Kayley Bane got the Lady Warriors moving early with a grand slam in the first inning. Trail answered in the bottom of the frame with a run, one that East got back in the top of the fourth.
The wheels started to come off for the visitors in the bottom of the fifth when Trail scored three runs, capping its comeback with four more in the bottom of the sixth. Errors were costly for East, which committed six of them.
Emmie Lopetrone and Madison Campbell each had two hits for the Patriots in the win.
East drops to 11-10 and will travel to Princeton today for a doubleheader while Trail moves to 15-4 and will host Shady Spring today.
