The Sophia 8-10 year old All-Stars rolled past Hinton Monday night to advance to the W. Va. District 4 semifinal round Friday where it will face Midland Trail at 8 p.m.
Hinton drops into the elimination round and will battle the winner of Princeton and Bluefield Thursday night at 8 p.m.
Josiah Sizemore paced Sophia with two triples and four RBI, while Maddox McClaugherty ripped a double and had two RBI. Jonah Wood also drove in two runs for Sophia.
Dylan Frazier and Isaac Arthur had two hits each.
Tuesday night in the elimination round, Fayetteville will play Trap Hill at 6 p.m. which will be followed by a clash between Central Greenbrier and Western Greenbrier.
Princeton and Bluefield are scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Beckley and Shady Spring will open semifinal action Friday at 6 p.m. ahead of the Sophia and Midland Trail game.
All games are being played at Sophia Little League Affinity Field in Midway.
