LEWISBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The State Fair of West Virginia has announced its 14th Annual Christmas Barn Decorating Contest, set to be held at the State Fairgrounds in Greenbrier County.
Businesses, non-profits, school-based, and other organizations will be given the opportunity to decorate one of the ten horse barns which can be found adjacent to Route 219 North>
State Fair of West Virginia CEO, Kelly Collins spoke enthusiastically of the highly anticipated yearly event, stating, “with Christmas at the Fair growing every year, thousands of people are seeing the hard work and creativity organizations put into decorating the barns. We can’t wait to see what folks come up with the year and hope to have all 10 barns decorated.”
Judging for the event will be conducted by a private panel of community individuals, with the winning entry to receive $300. Second and third place winners will receive $200 and $300, respectively.
Decoration will be applied to only the east end of the barns. Work must be concluded by Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 5:00pm.

The State Fair of West Virginia is a yearly tradition that brings with it a $16.9 million economic impact. It has been announced that the fair is scheuled to return in earnest on August 7th, 2024, and will conclude its ten-day run on August 16, 2024.
