BOONE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people are charged after fleeing from deputies.
According to Boone County Deputies, on Monday, June 7, 2021, deputies were on a routine road patrol in the Prenter area when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle, but the driver fled.
A vehicle pursuit ensued and came to an end a short time later in a wooded area. Â After a foot pursuit, Cody Hill, 27, and Brittany Bailey, 26, both from Seth, WV, were apprehended in the Big Coal River.
Both suspects are facing charges of felony fleeing in a vehicle and fleeing on foot. Â Warrants are also being obtained for a third suspect in the incident.
WV State Police assisted the Boone County Sheriff’s Department in the investigation.
