The NFL Draft, the league’s most common way to recruit college players into their professional careers, is always full of surprises; however, there are some players who are guaranteed to be picked.
Out of 32 teams, the Jacksonville Jaguars have the number one draft pick this year. They are followed by the New York Jets, the San Francisco 49ers, the Atlanta Falcons, the Cincinnati Bengals, etc.
According to the NFL’s official prospect list, Trevor Lawrence of Clemson is the number one draft pick and will likely be the Jaguars’ choice. Urban Meyer, head coach for the Jaguars, has expressed his interest in Lawrence, and it is no secret that Lawrence has already become acquainted with the City of Jacksonville.
The NFL’s list also has Kyle Pitts of Florida and Devonte Smith as some of the top prospects to look for this year.
The event will take place over three days, April 29 through May 1, in Cleveland, Ohio. The first night will primarily be the biggest and most exciting picks, given it is the first of three rounds.
This will be the first live NFL Draft since 2019, as the 2020 draft was held virtually due to COVID-19.
