FISHERVILLE, VA (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are investigating the kidnapping of three children from a bus stop in the Bobby’s Way Apartment complex in Fishersville on Thursday morning.
According to the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 8:27 a.m.
The children, identified as Jai’Marcus Lewis, 10, Ja’Miyah Lewis, 8, and Ja’Liyah Lewis, 6, were waiting for their school bus when a black four-door vehicle pulled up and abducted them.
Witnesses reported that Ja’Miyah and Ja’Liyah were both wearing pink jackets, while Jai’Marcus was dressed in a black and dark blue jacket with neon zippers.
The children were last seen around 7:40 a.m. when they left their home to walk to the bus stop.
A reverse 911 alert has been issued to residents within a 5-mile radius of the area, and an Amber Alert is pending approval by the Virginia State Police.
Anyone who has information about the children’s whereabouts or saw a black vehicle in the Bobby’s Way area around the time of the incident is urged to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 540-245-5333.
