CHARLOTTE, NC (LOOTPRESS) – Tickets for the highly anticipated benefit concert Concert for Carolina went on sale Thursday morning, both online and at the Bank of America Stadium box office. The concert, organized by North Carolina native Luke Combs, will raise funds to support recovery efforts for victims of Hurricane Helene.
Scheduled for Saturday, October 26, at Bank of America Stadium, the event will be headlined by Combs and fellow North Carolinian Eric Church. The star-studded lineup also includes Billy Strings, James Taylor, and newly announced performers Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban, and Bailey Zimmerman.
All proceeds from Concert for Carolina will be directed toward Hurricane Helene relief efforts, with the funds split equally between the charities chosen by Combs and Church. Church’s portion will support his Chief Cares Foundation, while Combs’ share will benefit Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper offered the stadium as the venue after being approached by Combs. The Teppers had previously pledged $3 million to aid recovery efforts immediately following the storm.
“No matter where we are, what we are doing, we always try to lend a helping hand,” said Tepper. “This one is big. People weren’t expecting it. The flooding and the destruction have left everyone in need of support.”
Both Combs and Church, who have deep roots in western North Carolina, felt a strong need to give back to their home state. “Seeing places that were a big part of my childhood almost wiped away is hard to grasp,” Combs said.
Church echoed the sentiment, stressing the long-term nature of recovery. “This isn’t a short-term issue. Rebuilding the infrastructure and communities will take years. Even when the spotlight fades, we need to keep focusing on helping the people of western North Carolina,” he said.
Tickets for Concert for Carolina are available at the Bank of America Stadium box office and online. Prices are the same for online and box office purchases, with no additional fees. A limit of eight tickets per person has been set to ensure wide availability.
