PINEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department arrested two suspects following a burglary in the East Pineville area on Monday afternoon, January 6, 2025.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., the department received a report of an active burglary from the Wyoming County 911 Center.
Deputies responded to the scene, where they found the complainant outside the location.
The complainant informed deputies that two suspects had fled on foot and provided their direction of travel.
Sgt. Tyler Sizemore quickly located and detained one suspect, identified as 30-year-old Lashawna Huff, without incident. Meanwhile, Corporals Tyler Phillips and Zach Cook searched the area for the second suspect.
After a search, Corporal Cook apprehended the second individual, identified as 54-year-old Judd Reed, in a wooded area following a brief foot pursuit.
Both Huff and Reed were charged with felony burglary, while Reed also faces an additional charge of fleeing.
The sheriff’s department acknowledged the assistance of the complainant, whose information helped deputies make the arrests.
Both remain at Southern Regional Jail.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
