WAYNE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people are dead following a late-night house fire in Wayne County.
The fire occurred Sunday around 10:40 p.m. at a home in the 2100 block of Spring Valley Drive near Ceredo.
The victims, believed to be adult females, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Their bodies have been transported to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy and positive identification.
The West Virginia State Police and State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
