CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) โ Two Morgantown residents have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a long-running drug trafficking conspiracy in northern West Virginia.
Jennifer Clapper, 37, received a 41-month sentence, while Jamie Purtee, 33, was sentenced to 60 months.
According to court records, Clapper and Purtee were involved in a drug trafficking organization that distributed large quantities of methamphetamine in Monongalia County for more than six years.
The organization originated in Philadelphia, with members transporting 5 to 10 pounds of meth per trip to Morgantown. Clapper and Purtee served as distributors within the network.
Both defendants will serve three years of supervised release after completing their prison terms.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda Wesley. The Mon Metro Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, led the investigation.
Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the case.
