LOUDENDALE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A volunteer firefighter recently lost his home along with his four dogs in a fire, and the community is actively pitching in to help.
According to the Loudendale Volunteer Fire Department (LVFD), a member of the station and his family lost everything they owned, including their four dogs, in a house fire.
The station will be organizing a fundraiser along with a clothing collection for the family.
The station encourages anyone interested to donate as the family is starting “from the ground up.”
All members of the LVFD will be accepting cash donations and PayPal at this time on behalf of the family.
“We need everyone to rally together to help him and his family at this time. He gives so much to his community and we need to do the same for him,” LVFD stated in a post on its Facebook page.

Toiletries, blankets, pillows, and toys are also greatly appreciated.
Members of LVFD will be at the station today, Wednesday, January 10, from 5 PM-8:30 PM accepting donations.
The LVFD is located at 51 Selbe Ln, Loudendale, WV 25314.
