MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Friday, West Virginia University officials greenlit a financial plan for the 2025 fiscal year that includes raising tuition and fees for students.
The Board approved the Fiscal Year 2025 Financial Plan, which includes a tuition increase of $228 per semester for resident undergraduate students and $624 per semester for non-resident students.
Graduate students will also see tuition increases, with resident students facing a $252 per semester hike and non-resident students facing a $639 increase.
West Virginia University officials say student tuition financial support will also be augmented to mitigate these increases. Paula Congelio, the Chief Financial Officer, highlighted that 50% of resident graduates receiving bachelor’s degrees in May 2023 did so without accumulating any debt.
Additionally, West Virginia University continues to perform favorably compared to regional and Big 12 peers.
