DANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Boone County woman is facing charges following a domestic violence incident reported early Wednesday morning, December 4, 2024. Authorities responded to the complaint at 113 Hopkins Avenue in Danville at approximately 1:14 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim and her daughter, both of whom reported that the victim had been physically assaulted by the suspect, identified as Kathy Dolin. Dolin is the victim’s daughter and resides across the street from her.
According to statements provided to law enforcement, the victim claimed that Dolin arrived at her residence intoxicated and attempted to sleep on the couch. The victim said she tried to retire to her bedroom, but her movement woke Dolin, who allegedly became belligerent and initiated a physical assault in the living room.
The victim reported that Dolin struck her multiple times in the head and face, slapped her, pulled her hair, and knocked her to the floor, where she was stomped on the back, chest, stomach, and torso. The altercation reportedly caused damage to household items, including plants, decorative pillows, a vase, and a cat statue, which were knocked over or broken during the struggle.
Officers observed visible injuries on the victim, including swelling under her right eye, redness on her scalp, and damage to her pajama pants. Additionally, three cans of Natural Light beer, including one crushed can, were found near the scene.
The defendant, who does not live with the victim, was charged with assault and is accused of intentionally causing bodily harm. The investigation confirms that the events occurred in Boone County.
