BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is facing charges after she allegedly exposed herself by urinating on the sidewalk in Beckley.
According to Beckley Police, calls were made about a woman at the corner of 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue who was exposing her genitals and urinating on the sidewalk. When police arrived, they found Heather Austin, but she was not exposing herself.
When police questioned Austin, she admitted to urinating beside the road and pointed out where she did it. Police say that there was no cover from the public, and the area was open to traffic. They also noted that children were in the area.
Police asked Austin why she did not wait until she reached the restroom. She said she could not wait and decided to use the bathroom in public.
Austin was charged with indecent exposure. She is being held in Southern Regional Jail under a 1,500 dollar bond.
