BARBOUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department has announced that a woman wanted for child concealment charges out of Barbour County has been arrested in Texas.
Sanjeshni Narayan was arrested in San Antonio, Texas late last night on Child Concealment charges stemming from Barbour County, WV.
Narayan had taken her 5-year-old son and fled the state after she learned that court documents were to be served.
The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by the father, Timothy Streets after he learned that Narayan had fled with their son. She and the young child were last seen in Barbour County on January 24, 2023.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the US Marshal Service was contacted immediately and the chase went across numerous states before the trail ended in San Antonio, Texas.
The Barbour County Sheriff’s Department says that they appreciate both of these agencies for all they did in being dedicated to finding both Narayan and the young child.
Narayan will face extradition and her pending charges of Child Concealment here in Barbour County.
All parties involved are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
