PUTNAM COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at approximately 4:31 pm, Cpl. J. E. Garren, Cpl. D. E. Gregory, and Cpl. J. E. Burgess responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident, with entrapment, in the Red House area of Putnam County.
The suspect, Lisa Henry, 62, of Dunbar, WV, crossed the center line and struck the victim, Lishia Casto, 62, of Red House, WV. Mrs. Casto received severe injuries and was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital for treatment. Lisa Henry was taken to CAMC Teays Valley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Lisa Henry was believed to have been DUI.
The suspect’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
The investigation is still ongoing.
