Wyoming County man arrested after hitting his wife in the head with a glass cup

MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is in jail after he struck his wife in the head with a glass cup.

According to Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, a call came in on Sunday, May 23, for a domestic.  When they arrived, a female victim was sitting in the yard with blood all over her head and body.  Neighbors were by her side, trying to help her stop bleeding.  When deputies asked what happened, the victim said that her husband hit her in the head with a glass cup.

Deputies found the suspect, Michael Burdiss, at home with blood on his shirt.  Deputies arrested him, and the victim was transported to Raleigh General Hospital for treatment.

Burdiss is charged with domestic battery and malicious wounding.  He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 20,000 dollar bond.
